Charles Bonnet syndrome (CBS) refers to the visual hallucinations caused by the brain’s adjustment to significant vision loss. As many people mistakenly believe, it is not caused by mental health problems or dementia. This workshop will provide an overview of what Charles Bonnet Syndrome is and its causes, as well as sharing the lived experiences of someone who has CBS. This workshop will focus on examples of how it manifests itself and the great impact of it on these individual’s day-to-day lives. As someone who has CBS, Megan will talk about her lived experiences and along with Marta, will discuss tips and tricks they have found helpful when navigating the hallucinations from CBS.
