The Deafblind Network of Ontario (DBNO) will be hosting the Deafblind International (DbI) 18th International World Conference in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Conference dates are July 22-28, 2023, which includes a comprehensive 4-day educational program and pre event Board and Network meetings. The event will be held at the Shaw Convention Centre, recognized as one of the most accessible venues internationally.

A robust social program is also part of the event design.  This meeting is held every four years and rotates around the Globe.

For the first time, this conference will be designed as a Hybrid event.  We are anticipating 600 in-person participants  (Leadership and Front-Line professionals; Deafblind individuals & support professionals), including DbI Members & Staff, Content Experts, Students, and Key Industry Stakeholders.

DBNO is excited to ensure a well-rounded experience design celebrating the unique Ottawa and Canadian vibe, while delivering cutting-edge educational sessions.

We look forward to welcoming you to Canada’s National capital, beautiful Ottawa, Ontario.

Conference organizers will provide ASL & LSQ platform sign language interpreters for the Keynotes and main stage sessions only.

If you require one on one interpreter, intervenor and/or guiding support, you are responsible for providing these members of your Support Team. Each support person must register for the conference.
