Location Name

Description

The Accessible Canada Act came into force in 2019. Several Canadian provinces have accessibility laws, and of course, the ground–breaking Americans with Disabilities Act is over 20 years old.  These laws require employers, service providers and government to identify and remove disabling barriers that limit full participation for persons with disabilities.  But if we create accessible places, will we have created inclusive spaces? What can the law do to achieve equality for persons with disabilities, and what other things might we think about to achieve a truly just and inclusive world?
