When consulting and assessing kids with Cortical Cerebral Visual impairment, one similarity between the students is that most seem to also exhibit central auditory processing abnormalities. The same is also true when working with kids assessed with Central Auditory Processing Disorders and their functional vision. Is there a link and overlapping causes that would explain these multisensory losses and their deafblindness?
